Blixa Bargeld discusses his feelings on being classified as making industrial music
"I hated it when they called us that. For me, industrial is Throbbing Gristle. The end. They invented the term.
Then it disappeared for a long time, then appeared in the USA and was described in such different things, from Ministry to NIN … everything was industrial! If you use such words, especially in music journalism, you have to be very careful … What the hell is industrial? Monte Cazazza or Marilyn Manson?"

NEW COSEY FANNI TUTTI EXHIBITION - LE PLATEAU, PARIS. May - Aug 2018
- A Study in Scarlet is not a thematic exhibition – it is not a project on pornography. Without aiming to be exhaustive, it rather seeks to construct a reflection through practices and gestures, both historical and contemporary, that must be seen in light of the similarities and specificities of the contexts in which they emerged. As tools for emancipation and a rearranging of identities, these strategies operate at the very heart of the channels of cultural distribution, consumption and communication the better to subvert them.
